Going Around Asia

First Family Bonding Activity at Singapore

After my kids first ride in the MRT, we went to the place were my wife is staying so that her landlady can meet my kids. She prepared lunch for us and gifts for the kids. I was very anxious about the lunch part of our trip. The kids are very picky with their food, and my wife’s land lady is an Indian lady. So this will be very interesting.

As I have thought, I was the designated person who ate their share. All three of them were more excited about their Christmas gift. After that we say our goodbyes and Thanks and off to the groceries. We took the bus this time. Then the rain started to fall.

Not prepared for the sudden rain. We were like cats not wanting to be wet, skipping from cover to another till we get to a building that I didn’t recognize. Well that time I really don’t care what building we’re in as long we are not wet. My wife which is now almost two years at Singapore knows exactly where we are is the one leading to a hacker place. Knowing that her kids are still hungry for they haven’t really eaten their lunch yet.

We ordered 3 Nasi Lemak Chicken, Chopsuey, and an order of shomai. Those are the first Local delicacies we had as a family. After our lunch, we then started our walk to the groceries which is in the lower basement of the building. I think it was 3 stories below. Now that I think of it, it would have been a nightmare working there when Orchard was flooded.

Along the way we snag some good shots along with a big Christmas Tree.

Diether was the designated driver for the push cart. Push cart here are not free, you will need 1 dollar to unlock one. That’s one way to earn additional income from your customer.

Looking for rice

I think Renz is actually enjoying the grocery trip. Being with his mother and doing groceries and getting things that he wants.

Bagging some apples for Renz

After the getting the groceries, we called Darry to pick us up, so that we can go back in our place in the shortest time possible without the hassle of traveling in the train with groceries.

It was a good first day. The kids got to see a typical Singapore day, which is really not different from our here in the Philippines. Not mentioning the traffic and the pollution.
